DISCLAIMER: By playing here you agree to ALL rules, regardless of whether or not you have read this file. By playing here, you also agree to the following: a. You do not hold the owners or other immortals of this mud responsible for any bad things that happen to you as a result of playing here. This includes but is not limited to mud addiction, harrassment from other players, exposure to adult or offensive material, and losing characters and equipment as a result of not following these rules or from crashes. b. We (the immortals of Scourge of Time) assume you are at least 18 years of age or you have a consenting adult who understands that you may be exposed adult oriented or offensive material and that the mud is based upon mortal combat. c. You agree that you know you may be exposed to adult material, including curse words or material that is sexual in nature either in areas or in actions from other players. 2. Your presence here is a privilege not a right. Obey any orders from gods, and you will be fine. Deletion does not require a reason, appeals are to be sent to the implementors (although we will give the reason anyway). 3a. Respect other players and the immortals. Do not curse at immortals or players. We are more relaxed with language on public channels than some muds. However, we ask that you do not direct any swearing at a player or immortal on any form of communication (including tells, notes, and emotes). Do not use any derogatory terms directed at any (human) race, religion, ethnic background, gender, or sexual orientation. Do not harrass players out of character. Threatening any player or immortal out of character is unacceptable. b. Do not kill other players outside of arena areas. 4a. Cheating will not be tolerated. This includes accepting favors from gods and exploiting bugs. If you find a bug, report it, then do not use it. Do not crash the mud. Do not attempt to hack the mud, the mud account (including player files), or the server that hosts the mud. b. Do not steal from other players c. Sitting around idle (including botting) with a client is hazardous to your health. If we catch you doing it, you will lose half your playing time, or you may end up in an undesirable location. See HELP CASINO. d. No multiple logins, multiple playing, or helping your own characters with other characters you own -- by ANY arrangment. EXCEPTION - you may exchange equipment in Midgaard (no spell casting though) There are other rooms (rooms, not areas) where it is legal to exchange eq: Cheesy in Gimpville, Igor in New Thalos, Georgio in Norcynki, Scott in Downtown Gimpville, shaman in Jungle village, gnome in Fizzledink, Greeter in Casino, Charsi in Diablo, Gimpville locker room. EXCEPTION #2 - you may set up gate mobs but please: set up for other players too and don't kill other peoples' gate mobs if you do this. 5. Using "roleplay" is not an excuse to get out of these rules. If any roleplay seems to "test" the rules, please make sure who you are rping with will vouch for you. 6. Please keep Out Of Character (OOC) stuff on OOC channels and In Character (IC) on IC channels. 7a. First offenders of rules generally will receive nochannels/nomusic/notell, lose of experience, WANTED or A$$HOLE flags, or purged/disconnected. We may also freeze a character for a couple of days for more extreme violations or place you in jail. Multiplayers will generally be penalized with loss of experience. b. Repeat offenders of any rule may be frozen, site banned, or deleted. c. These rules are subject to change, and good suggestions for change will be considered. d. Write the IMPs (Scourge and Clare) if you feel you have been unfairly punished. In other words, respect others, don't cheat, and you'll be fine |
