Growing up, Kirie was surrounded by many people of high rank. Her mother had somehow won her way into King Sollan's heart, and so she and Kirie were moved into his best guest apartments. Kirie would spend many days running around with the children of the other servents, and then watching the jesters preform for the throngs of commoners and peasents until late into the night. As she got older, she started spending more of her time at the temple down in the city. She would speak with the priestess and learn all about the different Gods of Jhoira. The priestess taught Kirie about the joining of Clare and Scourge, and how by uniting the two extreames of good and evil, a balance formed and brought peace to the land. She learned about creation, and the power of prayer, and the many other wonderful skills and talents that a young priestess should learn. Years later, Kirie found herself sitting in the same temple she had as a child, but this time, she was the one teaching. She had many students, each wanting to hear the stories of how the world came about. Kirie also took on the duties of healing those that were sick, and looking out for the children of Gardock that had lost their families to bandits, war, and disease. Try as she might, there were always more that needed help. She had gone to King Sollan many times, hoping that since he loved her mother so, that he might spare some gold to help those in need. But her cries fell on deaf ears. The King wished to have nothing to do with the poor or the sick. He had more important things to do that to give away his money, so he turned Kirie out. There had to be something Kirie could do, but no one would help. Even they were all good at heart, she could see their true nature. The noblemen would walk through the town, wearing their fancy clothes, but wouldn't stop to notice a hungry child sitting on the side of the street. The many races of people all seemed to be friendly, until you asked them to pity your or someone you cared for. This was all wrong, and one day, Kirie couldn't take it anymore. As Kirie started out of the kingdom, hell broke lose. She had grown in power since she first started her training, but no one knew she was this strong. A strange mist formed around Kirie, and looked as though it became a solid wall of protection. Then the lightning started pouring from the sky, stiking all of those that would not help. The earth quaked like it never had before, destroying buildings, large cracks formed in the earth, swallowing everyone that could not get out of the way. Then the fire came. It spread like the town was made of dry grass. And a strange green mist floated through the area. Any that got near doubled over in pain. Crying out as the poison and plague racked their bodies. By now the King's body guards and arrived, and they too fell like all the rest. Without even lifting a weapon, Kirie deftly subdued any that approached her. Then suddenly, with a loud CRACK! it all ended. The spot where Kirie had been standing was chared black, and crackling with electricty. And on the wall next to her, there was a message. It read "To all that turn a blind eye to those in need, I will be back. What you say here today was a taste of my power, and I still very young. Every time I return, more of you will fall, until one day I have cleansed the earth of this fowl Kingdom." The kingdom was rebuilt, and there is a new priestess sitting in the temple. She teaches the young about the creation of Jhoira, and how even though you believe you are a good person, if you are blind to the evil of others, it is just bad as if you were the one commiting the crime. To this day, the people of Gardock try their best to help each other out as much as they can. You could look all day, but not find a single person with any evil in their heart. Everyone lives in fear of the day Kirie comes back. None will be able to stand in her way, so they hope and pray that if they change their ways enough, she will be able to forgive them.
