Founded in 348 BA as a campsite for those travelling across Thera from the Dragon Sea, Gimpville is right in the center of Thera, and one of the most important cities on the continent. Gimp was the mining partner of Nicolai Grandu, and the two became famous first for breaking through the snow covered land and discovering the vast mineral deposits there, then later for establishing contact with the dragon community of Cloudy Mountain. Gimp and Grandu had their most famous disagreement over how to treat with the residents of Cloudy Mountain, leading Gimp to venture across the Dragon Sea to Thera, and finally to the sit that is now
Gimpville.

Through the wonder of the time rift, you can not only explore downtown, but visit Gimpville's humble beginnings via the portal that exists between the times. Modern travellers often visit to tour through Gimp's Castle, and the many fine works of art there. Some are even lucky enough to see the Pulp Fiction Emperor himself, Gimp, and his son, GimpII.

Directions: Gimpville is found just off the Thera freeway, in the area that
once separated the Haan-Dor and Mahn-Tor forests.

from Midgaard Recall: 2s 13w 2n 15w 2n.. that puts you in the market square of old Gimpville.. open grate... then d n open grate, up. That will put you into the modern on Main Street. For MUD purposes, the fantasy era Gimpville is called "Gimpville" while the modern era Gimpville is called "Downtown Gimpville". To get back to Midgaard, you have to return to the fantasy era... 2n from recall in Downtown Gimpville will see you to the grate, and the passage back to the fantasy time. Once you're through the grate and back to the market square in old Gimpville, recalling will take you back to Midgaard

Mage's note: For the magically inclined, most passersby in Downtown Gimpville don't mind if visitors gate in from the old days, they love pointy hats!

Attractions: Downtown Gimpville has a wide variety of entertainment for the modern visitor. The Gimpville Cinema offers daily matinees at either of its two screens. Just across the street is an arcade, just waiting to provide hours of family fun!

Or, for more adult fun, there is Gimpville's world famous Casino.

The Cinema is on the north end of main street, just before the end. The
mobs include the employees, as well as characters from the two movies playing, the Crow and Pulp Ficton.. the run from level 20 -45 or so. I few of the stars of the movies do have some eq

The arcade is just a bit south, and on the other side of the street from the theatre. There are three games where you can kill things, Centipede, Zelda, and Doom. The Doom area is BAD NEWS for newbies, stay away (the warnings there are for real) The regular mobs of the other two areas are very low level..20 or less, but, as with the cinema, the "stars" of the game are higher, and carry some eq

The Casino features a variety of games for your gambling pleasure, the rules are all there!

If live entertainment is more your speed, put on your black t-shirt and rock with the Gimps in Gimpville Arena!
